What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences or understand how pages are used. Similar technologies (local storage) may be used for the same purposes.
How we use cookies
Autowork Sys uses a small set of cookies and local storage keys. Essential items keep basic site functions working. Optional analytics cookies run only if you accept them via our cookie banner.
Rejecting optional cookies does not block access to training information, forms, or pages on this site.
Cookies and storage we use
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
autoworksys_cookie_consent | Stores your Accept or Reject choice for optional cookies | Persists in localStorage until cleared | Autowork Sys (first-party) |
| Session continuity / security (host) | May be set by the hosting environment to route requests reliably | Session or short-lived | Hosting provider |
| Analytics cookie (only if accepted) | Helps us understand aggregate page visits | Up to 13 months (if enabled) | Analytics provider selected by Autowork Sys |
If analytics are not active on a given deployment, the consent banner still records your choice so we do not re-prompt unnecessarily.
Essential versus optional
- Essential: consent storage and any technically necessary host cookies. These do not require consent under UK PECR in the same way as optional cookies, but we still explain them here.
- Optional analytics: used only after Accept. They help us see which pages about session planning and trade journaling are read most often.
Managing and disabling cookies
- Use Accept or Reject on our banner on first visit. Your choice is stored under
autoworksys_cookie_consent. - Clear site data in your browser settings to remove localStorage and cookies, then revisit to see the banner again.
- Browser controls can block third-party cookies; see your browser’s help pages for steps.
Third-party cookies
If you accept analytics, a third-party provider may set cookies on their domain. Their own policies apply to those cookies. Embedded fonts from Google Fonts may result in network requests to Google; that delivery method is described in our technical setup and is separate from our consent banner’s analytics choice.
Impact of disabling
Disabling essential storage may cause the cookie banner to reappear. Disabling optional analytics only reduces our aggregate statistics; it does not remove access to content or the enquiry form.
